Collection: Kathy Weigand
A sixth generation Texan, Kathy Weigand was raised on the Rocking J ranch just outside Fredericksburg Texas.
An accomplished photographer, Weigand studied with some of the world's leading Master Photographers. Her prints have earned numerous awards on the state, Southwest regional, and International levels, including several PPA Loan Collection Print Awards.
An invited community art judge and speaker, Weigand has been awarded the prestigious PPA Master of Photography (M. Photog.) Degree, hosted private lessons, and taught the first PPA approved photography portrait workshop in Fredericksburg.
As a youth, Kathy enjoyed sketching her family's horses and cattle, and a few years ago she began studying oil painting in earnest. Working with a more limited palette of colors, she enjoys watching a blank canvas 'come to life' with values, shapes, and colors.
Artwork has been used in large corporate marketing, public displays, college, books, publications, and sold to private collectors across the USA.
