FALL 2023 Texas Hill Country Art Exhibitions & Gift Ideas

FALL 2023 Texas Hill Country Art Exhibitions & Gift Ideas

How can it be October already?  2023 has flown by!

While everyone is decorating, preparing, and celebrating the upcoming 2023 FALL & HOLIDAY activities, artists are also busy creating new artwork in their studios and in the outdoors!

Fall colors and cooler temps always inspire artists and nature lovers!  And everyone loves visiting and exploring the Texas Hill Country backroads, so don't be surprised if you see artists set up with their portable easels painting a beautiful Hill Country scene - especially in the early morning or evening light.

HOLIDAY GIFT IDEAS
If you enjoy surrounding yourself with colorful art and are gathering gift ideas then be sure to keep in mind that ART is a meaningful and unique one-of-a-kind gift for loved ones!

Originals, studies, and prints offer beautiful inspirations for any budget range, and original art can last for many generations!

Different types of ORIGINAL ART

For the artist, it starts with an idea.
Artists often explore, looking for a new idea or scene that brings them inspiration and joy.  It can be something simple, for instance, the evening sunlight hitting trees or horses in a pasture.  Whatever it is that catches their eye, it offers impact, and the artist is inspired to create.

SKETCHES
For many artists, sketches are a launching point, and they practice a new idea or scene with a couple small sketches, or more detailed sketches.
- For collectors, sketches offer a friendly price point, and when displayed they can showcase interesting marks and lines that portray the artist's earliest thoughts of a scene which are normally hidden in a final painting.

STUDIES
Studies are usually smaller in size, and artists create studies to practice a scene before they start the larger, final artwork.     For many artists studies are important. When creating a couple different studies of the same scene, the artist is exploring variations.
Some artists offer original studies for sale, and they may be labeled or advertised as a study.
- For collectors, a study is great for small spaces, starting an art collection, adding to an existing collection, and are within a friendly budget.  These smaller originals are also great for gift giving.

FINAL PAINTING OR DRAWING
After the artist is satisfied with their previous sketches and/or studies, they create the final artwork!
- For collectors, when you invest in a larger original, you're also investing in the artist.  Large originals are perfect for displaying in a room's focal point.
The art has a story to tell!
