Collection: Daniel Anz

OILS

As a youth, Daniel Anz greatly enjoyed art and was especially prolific with drawing and watercolors.   Oils are now his favorite medium of choice, as they offer the ability for the artist to design multiple layers and textures on the painting's surface to create a feeling of light.    When viewing the artwork, sparked reflective highlights created by the oils may also enhance the feeling of light that the artist has presented within its inspirational depths.
Daniel and his family live in Waco Tx and enjoy traveling throughout the Western States.  Favorite subjects often include Rocky Mountain landscapes, rock cliff formations, canyons, as well as adobe dwellings.  The unique quality of light and colors found in scenes across the Southwest, including Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, are especially appealing to the artist.
Each scene has its own unique story to tell, and Daniel enjoys the opportunity to use his plein-air and studio painting skills to help share these visual stories with others who also admire our great American West.
Artwork has been juried into 2024 art shows:
• 39th annual Bosque Art Classic, Judge Martin Grelle, Clifton TX.
• 55th annual Mountain Oyster art show, Tuscan AZ. (Nov 2024)
