Collection: Kathy Weigand

A sixth generation Texan, Kathy Weigand was raised on the Rocking J ranch just outside Fredericksburg Texas.  As a youth, Kathy sketched her family's horses and cattle, but put art aside while studying business management in college.
An accomplished photographer, she studied with some of the world's leading PPA Master Photographers, and artwork has earned numerous awards.
The Professional Photographers of America (PPA), awarded Weigand with their prestigious Master of Photography Degree (M. Photog.)
She has been an invited guest speaker, local art judge, community ed instructor, and hosted private workshops.
Oil painting has brought even more adventures, and she enjoys watching a blank canvas 'come to life' with values, shapes, and colors. Favorite subjects often include the American West and wildlife.
Weigand's work has been purchased for large corporate & small business advertising, public displays, colleges, books, music cd covers, & magazines. An advocate for Wild Horses and animals, her artwork has helped raise funds & items donated to helping Wild Horses, local pet non-profits, and Native American Tribes.
Artwork has sold to private collectors across the USA.
