Harry Jackson Book Donated | Museum of Western Art in Kerrville Texas

  A 1st edition book on cowboy artist & sculptor, Harry Jackson, has been recently donated to the book collection library, at The Museum of Western Art in Kerrville Texas, in memory of its first director.

  Inscribed on the front page inside the book:
"For Griff & Betty Carnes, Best to you both
- Harry Jackson Dallas 1981"

   By the spring of 1983, Griff Carnes would serve as the founding Director of the Cowboy Artist Museum in Kerrville Texas, which is now known as The Museum of Western Art (MOWA).

   Mr Carnes was also an Honorary Member of the Cowboy Artists of America.

{On a side-note: The MOWA was just recently named the #3 Best Western Art Museum by True West Magazine -  Congratulations!}

    When a member of our staff first saw this book for sale at a book store, they just happened to recognize the inscribed names and thought, "It would be neat to get this book to the library at the Museum in Kerrville since Griff was a major part of its foundation."

  And we agree.

  Sometimes its the little things in life, that might someday, help another person.
