Water Trail, original oil painting on linen will be part of the First Friday Art Online exhibit showcasing original bronzes, oil paintings, and drawings of working cowboys and wildlife, by western artist David R. Godfrey.

  This First Friday Art Online exhibit opens on Friday, September 4th, at WesternGalleries.com

  Email subscribers are invited on Thursday, September 3rd, to be the first to preview and acquire these original artworks.

  Raised on a small farm & ranch in Lewisville Texas, David grew up as a working cowboy.  He also shoed horses and worked the steer wrestling events during his rodeo days.
  His cowboy background and lifestyle are also inspirations for creating artworks featuring the genuine western culture that he loves and enjoys.   His first-hand experiences and knowledge of working cattle and training horses, have brought accuracy and authenticity to his bronzes, oil paintings, and drawings.  

  David R. Godfrey, at the 2024 Texas Invitational Art Show held at the Pearce Museum, with his award-winning drawing titled, "Rodeo Road".    Winner of the prestigious Director's Choice award, this drawing was purchased by the Pearce Museum for their permanent art collection in Corsicana Texas.

  He lets his works speak for themselves, hoping that viewers relate to the ranch life stories and scenes that are created with each original piece of art.
