DAVID R. GODFREY

BRONZES | OILS | PENCIL

 FIRST FRIDAY ART ONLINE EXHIBIT
 opens Friday, Sept 4

Cowboy artist David R Godfrey at western Galleries online art gallery of Fredericksburg TX

Raised on their family farm in Lewisville Texas, David R. Godfrey grew up as a working cowboy.  As a young man he shoed horses and participated in steer wrestling events at various rodeos.
His background and love of all things western have brought accuracy and authenticity to his artworks.  Not one to embrace the pretentiousness of many in the art world.  He lets his bronzes, paintings, and drawings speak for themselves, hoping viewers can relate to the stories embedded into each.
David and his wife Donna, live on their small ranch in Ellis County where he also enjoys training horses, and uses them as references in his art.
