Western Galleries online art gallery of Fredericksburg Texas is featuring the artworks of fine art western photographer, Gillean Dangelmayr.
This FIRST FRIDAY ART ONLINE curated online exhibit opens on Friday August 7th. Gillean's artworks will be available to view and purchase.
A professional photographer and avid horsewoman, Gillean has recently completed a portfolio titled, "The Living West". This collection of photographic images explores the people, horses, and cattle traditions that continue to shape America's ranching culture in the western states.
Documenting real cowboys, cowgirls, and the western lifestyle since 2018, Gillean is following her passion of creating true grit images focused on the authenticity of working men and women in this western lifestyle. With permissions from ranch owners and western families, Gillean is able to capture unique scenes and working action - on private ranches.
These scenes are inaccessible to the general public.
Her goals include helping preserve the legacy of the west: the ranching, horsemanship, and western cultures. Each image has a story to tell, and each presents the real ranching lifestyle to those who don't have access to it.
"I want to share a lifestyle that I love deeply, with a world that is becoming increasingly disconnected from it."
Dangelmayr, who lives in North Texas, is the founder of Still West Studio. Her artworks have been shown at area art shows and events.
This FIRST FRIDAY ART ONLINE exhibit will open on Friday August 7th at Western Galleries.
