Nan Henke & Louise C. Murphy | Illustrated Works in New Book
Congratulations to local WG artists Nan Henke, and Louise C Murphy, whose illustrated artworks were recently published in a new kitchen herbal book for Texas chefs.
William Varney, botanist and owner of Urban Herbal in San Antonio, and former owner and founder of the Fredericksburg Herb Farm in Fredericksburg TX., selected several Hill Country artists to illustrate his latest herbal kitchen hardcover book. Among these chosen artists are Nan Henke and Louise C. Murphy, both of Fredericksburg TX.
Nan Henke
Enjoys working in both watercolor and acrylic, and specializes in floral scenes, including Texas Hill Country bluebonnets and wildflowers.
Louise is a plein-air and studio oil painter who enjoys landscapes, as well as architectural scenes.
This new petite coffee table style herbal recipe book titled, The Urban Herbal, A Texan's Guide for Enhancing All of Your Senses with Herbs, by William (Bill) Varney was recently released.
