Kathy Weigand

A sixth generation Texan, Kathy Weigand was raised on the Rocking J ranch in Fredericksburg Texas. As a youth she participated in rodeos, horse shows, and horse judging events while her grandmother introduced her to paint-by-numbers.  She often sketched & photographed their horses and Hereford cattle, but put art aside while obtaining a degree in business management.
  An accomplished photographer, she opened Hill Country Images(tm) photography studio in Fredericksburg, and studied with some of the world's leading Master Photographers.  The Professional Photographers of America (PPA) awarded Weigand with their prestigious Master of Photography Degree (M. Photog.). 
   Oil painting has brought more adventures, and the Weigand family enjoys exploring the Western States.  Favorite subjects often include Native American, landscapes, wild horses, and wildlife.
   Weigand's artwork has been juried into shows & displayed in various states, purchased for corporate advertising, public displays, books, music cd covers, posters, & magazines.   
   Residing in Fredericksburg TX, her artwork has sold to private collectors across the USA.
