  This is a one-of-a-kind original, hand carved, anatomically correct, life-sized buffalo skull sculpture & stand by Randy Wood.   

  This stunning wood sculpture took approximately 400 hours, over a period of five months, for TX artist Randy Wood to create from start to finish.  
  The main skullcap, including fine intricate details such as the teeth, and nasal cavities were carved from a single large piece of Texas red cedar, with some necessary epoxy fill, in a few places.
  Removable from its stand, the stand was also designed and built by the artist using oak and cedar.

"This bison skull is special to me because I have also been very interested in Native American cultures my entire life.  I like to think this bison skull helps us to remember the past as it was carved from a very old cedar tree that grew in north central Texas." 

    Because of the time commitment involved with each new wood sculpture, Randy Wood only creates a small, limited number, of original sculptures per year.

 This original bison sculpture is located at the artist's studio in Rowlett Texas.   Purchase online and the artist ships to USA customer in the lower 48 states.
