ABOUT:
Artist Leslie Jo Wheaton traces her roots from the deserts of New Mexico to South Texas ranch lands. As a self-taught western artist with a lifetime of being surrounded by horses and ranches, she is inspired by, and her art celebrates, the spirit of horses and ranch life that continue to be the soul of the American West.
Her works have their own unique style, and have been displayed in exhibitions including: The Western Heritage Classic Bit-Spur and Fine Art Show, Bosque Classic juried show, The Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering Art Show, The Cowboy True Western Art Show, and the Fall Art Show in Granbury TX and others.
Her heartfelt prayer is that those who encounter her art sense the presence of God. She won't hesitate to say, "Jesus is the ultimate artist, He guides my hand while I simply hold the pencil."
