NOTES FROM ARTIST:
The shield is based off of a museum piece from the Smithsonian.   The owl represents great silence, night vision, and swiftness.  The heart painted on the owl represents brave at heart. The lightning that’s coming out of the ears represents striking your enemy.
The eagle feathered personal standup bonnet has died yellow ochre feathers with peacock feathers in the crown, based off a Kiowa ledger drawing from the Smithsonian. The sandhill crane fan and the red tail hawk medicine bundle was his personal power.
