• Direct sow in the spring well after last frost and soil has warmed to at least 60°F
• Corn prefers good feeding (fertilizer) and consistent water, esp during ear development.
• For better cob pollination, plant in square or circular blocks (esp if you are only planting a smaller amount of corn) with at least 4-5 short rows instead of a long single row.
• For grinding, harvest ears after they have reached full color and the husks are fully dry  on the stalks.


Grows well in the central Texas heat.

ABOUT:  Grown in the Texas Hill Country on our multi-generational family ranch/ farm using organic compost fertilizer, just like our ancestors did when they first established our farm in the 1950's.
