ABOUT THIS IMAGE: The camera's exposure was set to create dramatic dark cliff walls in the foreground, that show details in the shadows, against the bright cliffs. The photographer wanted a strong contrast without loosing the details in the rocks. The clouds were quickly rolling by, creating light shifts, and soon it would be overcast, a flat light. Weigand waited patiently for the shifting light to hit the canyon wall. It only lasted few seconds, and was quickly gone.
