STORY
  During the 1800’s and into the 1920’s, all along the Rio Grande, both sides of the river and in the Big Bend Country, rode the Yerbero (Herb trader).  His pack ladened with healing inventories would be traded to the Curanderos (Healers).  Most herbs and potions were gathered around the town of Sierra Mojada (Wet Mountain), located in Northern Mexico.  Trips averaged twelve miles per day, planning his route to arrive at a welcoming home by night fall and only allowed him to see his family a few days every three or four months.  By the mid 1920’s, the Yerbero rode into the history of the border lands.
